Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Cuba H.E Dr. Genet Teshome Jirru held discussion with H.E Débora Rivas Saavedra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of the Republic of Cuba on bilateral investment cooperation, human resource development and training, and current affairs.
During the discussion, the two have exchanged views on ways to explore investment opportunities in sugar manufacturing and agricultural sector, and the possibility of expanding technical cooperation in various sectors, including scholarship, based on the direction set by the leaders of the two countries.
The Deputy Minister, pointed out that preparations are well underway to assess the investment opportunities and technical cooperation in sugar industry and agricultural sector, and requested the support of the Embassy for success of their efforts.
H.E Ambassador, on his part, assured readiness of the Ethiopian Embassy to facilitate the communication between the Cuban institution and Ethiopian counterparts, and provide necessary support for the success of new and ongoing initiatives.
