The Ambassador of Cuba in Ethiopia Pays a visit to the Embassy of Ethiopia to Cuba (based in Addis Ababa)
On the 28th of September 2022, the Ambassador of Cuba in Ethiopia H.E Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, Paid a visit to the Embassy of Ethiopia to Cuba (based in Addis Ababa).
During the visit, Ambassador Lefebre holds a fruitful discussion with H.E Ambassador Dr. Genet Teshome, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of Cuba, on a wide range of issues of bilateral importance.
Welcoming H.E Ambassador Lefebre to his office, Ambassador Genet noted the historic bond that existed between the brotherly people of Ethiopia and Cuba; and expressed his gratitude for Cuba for supporting Ethiopia at the UN Human Rights Council. H.E Ambassador Genet further briefed the Ambassador on current developments in Ethiopia.
H.E Ambassador Lefebre, on his part, stated Cuba’s rejection of the use of multilateral institutions and Human Rights as a pretext to put pressure on states and interfere in domestic affairs. He further affirmed Cuba’s commitment to stand by Ethiopia in its times of need.
The two sides also agreed to work in close cooperation to further enhance the multi-faceted bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.
